Sport

At New Madinah College we understand the importance of physical exercise in the lifestyle of both children and adults. Physical exercise is good for the mind, body and spirit. Team sports are excellent for learning accountability, dedication, and leadership, among many other traits. Putting it all together by playing a sport is a winning combination.

Physical exercise requires time and energy. Some may think time spent on sport is better put into the classroom and that sport would cause students to become distracted from class work, however the opposite is true. Physical exercise increases energy and focus. Sports also require memorisation, repetition and learning — skill sets that are directly relevant to class work. The determination and goal-setting skills students learn when participating in sports are transferred into the classroom, resulting in a more focused and active student.


Sports Carnivals

Running, sprinting, long jump and high jump are some of the sports that will be focused on during sports carnivals.

Horse Riding

Horse riding is a sport that has many benefits; core strength, balance and coordination are a few of the fitness benefits that come with riding.

Archery

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad PBUH advised us to learn the sport of archery. Archers learn to tune out all distractions, focus on their form and increases confidence.

Ball Sports

Ball Sports such as football and soccer games are some of the competitive team games that will be played regularly.

Tennis

Tennis is a fun and skillful sport that students will enjoy playing while improving their fitness level.

Swimming

Swimming is a summer sport that students will partake in. Swimming builds endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness.
