The Brave Little Dolphin
Deep in the sparkling waters of Coral Bay, a young dolphin named Lila lived with her pod. Lila was smaller than the other dolphins, but she was known for her curiosity and adventurous spirit. While most dolphins played near the reef, Lila often wandered farther, exploring hidden caves and mysterious underwater landscapes.
One day, while swimming alone near the edge of the bay, Lila noticed something unusual—a fishing net had become tangled around the coral. As she swam closer, she realized that a small turtle was trapped in the net, struggling to break free. The other sea creatures stayed away, frightened by the sharp edges of the net. Lila hesitated for a moment, unsure if she could help.
Gathering her courage, Lila swam around the net to assess the situation. She used her strong nose to push against the ropes and carefully untangled the net piece by piece. The turtle, sensing Lila’s determination, stayed calm and still, allowing her to work. Finally, after what felt like hours, Lila freed the turtle from the net.
The turtle, whose name was Toby, thanked Lila with a cheerful flap of his flippers. "You saved my life!" Toby exclaimed. "I’ll never forget your kindness." Lila smiled and watched as Toby swam away, free once more. But her adventure was far from over.
As Lila turned to swim home, she noticed the current pulling the net deeper into the coral, endangering the reef itself. She quickly gathered her pod and led them back to the site. Together, they worked as a team to remove the net entirely, ensuring the reef would stay safe for all the sea creatures.
When the pod returned to their home, the other dolphins cheered for Lila’s bravery. From that day on, Lila was no longer seen as the smallest dolphin but as the bravest of them all.
