The Lost Kite
On a sunny afternoon, two best friends, Mia and Sam, decided to fly their favorite kite at the local park. The kite was bright red with a long yellow tail, and they had decorated it with glitter and stickers to make it extra special. As they launched the kite into the sky, it soared higher and higher, dancing with the wind.
But suddenly, a strong gust of wind blew the kite off course, and it got tangled in the branches of a tall tree. Mia and Sam stared up at the kite, wondering how to get it down. "What should we do?" Mia asked, frowning. "It’s my favorite kite."
Sam thought for a moment and then said, "Let’s ask Mr. Wilson for help. He’s always working in his garden, and he has a ladder." Mia nodded, and they ran to Mr. Wilson’s house nearby.
Mr. Wilson was an elderly man with a kind smile. When they explained what had happened, he chuckled and said, "No problem! I’ll help you get your kite." He grabbed his ladder and followed them to the park. Carefully, Mr. Wilson climbed the ladder and untangled the kite from the branches.
Mia and Sam cheered as Mr. Wilson handed the kite back to them. "Thank you, Mr. Wilson!" they said in unison. "We couldn’t have done it without you." Mr. Wilson smiled and said, "Sometimes, it’s okay to ask for help when you need it."
The friends spent the rest of the afternoon flying their kite, being extra careful not to let it get too close to the trees again. As the sun set, they packed up and went home, grateful for their fun-filled day and the lesson they had learned.
