Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
Dear Parents and Community Members,
I am pleased to inform you that New Madinah College’s registration has been extended for a further 12 months, effective from 01/01/2024 until 31/12/2024. This extension comes with specific conditions set by NESA, aiming to address compliance concerns identified. We view this extension as an opportunity for improvement and collaboration with NESA to ensure the best possible education for our students.
The conditions are as follows:
To address the compliance concerns raised by NESA, the college has devised a comprehensive plan, emphasizing collaboration and ongoing improvement. This plan includes regular audits, detailed progress reports submitted at the end of each school term in 2024, and active engagement with NESA in monitoring our progress.
Our commitment extends to providing NESA with detailed overviews of the qualifications and expertise of each responsible person involved in administering the school’s education. We will promptly notify NESA of any changes to responsible persons, ensuring an updated overview of qualifications and experiences within 7 days of such changes until December 31, 2024.
Furthermore, the college is dedicated to transparent governance. We will share the agenda and minutes of every board meeting with NESA within 7 days of each meeting conducted. Moreover, our responsible individuals will undertake 6 hours of professional learning in proper governance from a NESA-approved training provider, providing evidence of completion by updating a register of professional learning by June 30, 2024.
Continuing our commitment to compliance, the college will maintain an updated register of working with children checks, promptly updating NESA within 7 days of any changes upon the appointment of new staff members. We will also ensure that all staff and responsible persons are well-informed and aligned with the school’s revised child protection policy and procedures, providing documented proof to NESA.
Additionally, the college will furnish NESA with an updated list of teaching staff accreditation numbers and statuses within 7 days of any changes. We will also provide regular updates on enrolled students and the overall student attendance rate at the start of each subsequent school term in 2024.
As a college, we are enthusiastic about the year ahead and are committed to working closely with NESA to propel the college in a positive direction. Our primary focus remains on delivering the best possible education while fostering transparent communication with our school community. Moving forward, we aim to enhance transparency and collaboration among all stakeholders involved.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Feras Aldweekat
