Newsletter – Term 3 – Vol 4
Alhamdulillah, the past two weeks at New Madinah College have been absolutely amazing and filled with productivity and growth. One of the highlights was our very first Spelling Bee Competition, held as part of Literacy and Numeracy Week. It was a tremendous success, with students excelling well beyond expectations. Their outstanding performance made each round of elimination incredibly challenging, showcasing the talent and dedication of our learners across all age groups.
We also marked Support Teacher Recognition Week, a special opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the invaluable contributions of our support staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes for the success of our students. Our heartfelt thanks go out to all of our amazing staff and wonderful families for their ongoing support — we are truly blessed to have such a dedicated team and community.

Alhamdulillah, it’s been a very exciting couple of weeks at New Madinah College. Chairman of the Board, Mr. Mohammed Barghachoun, and Principal Sheikh Abdulghani had the opportunity to attend the ISAA Conference and AGM, as well as the CITE Conference. We were joined by Ms. Barghachoun and Ms. Mariam Albaf, and together we benefited from a range of amazing workshops and training sessions. These gatherings were a wonderful way to connect with other Islamic schools from across Australia, share ideas, and bring back valuable knowledge to help us continue improving and upskilling our team.

Alhamdulillah, we are now in Week 4 of Term 3, and it is wonderful to see the continued progress across all areas of our college. Our students and staff are working diligently, and the positive momentum is evident in classrooms, extracurricular activities, and the wider school community.
This week, we are proudly taking part in both Say No to Bullying Week and Science Week. It has been inspiring to see our students engaging in meaningful discussions about kindness, respect, and unity, as well as exploring the wonders of science through creative and hands-on activities.
