The College is seeking an experienced High School fulltime Teacher (Maths/Science) – Year 7,8,9 and 10 Selection Criteria:

  1. Teaching Excellence: A proven record of successful teaching experience, showcasing the ability to initiate improvement in teaching, learning, and classroom practices.
  2. Curricular Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare. The applicant should be adept at designing and leading quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
  3. Teamwork and Leadership: Demonstrable educational leadership capabilities with the aptitude to contribute positively to team dynamics and performance.
  4. Communication Proficiency: Robust communication and interpersonal skills are paramount. The candidate must be adept at building relationships and engaging with students, peers, and parents.
  5. Resource Management: Skills in planning and leveraging resources to bolster teaching and learning experiences.
  6. Commitment to Aboriginal Education: A deep understanding of and commitment to the Department’s Aboriginal education policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering engaging lessons and ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with peers to enhance the school’s academic programs.
  • Participating in continuous professional development.
  • Maintaining an open line of communication with parents and guardians.
  • Adhering to and implementing school policies and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or the relevant subject area.
  • Previous teaching experience is preferable.
